A helmet that provides more coverage for your head with an integrated LED flasher. I used this helmet for a few road rides and the venting I found is excellent. The bug guards on the front vents keep the bothersome flying insects from flying in and stinging me on my head. For mtb I felt more comfortable using this as it does offer more protection vs. the aerodynamic, smaller sized road helmets. The adjusting knob on the back locks the helmet to your head and the add’l felt pad surrounding the chin strap buckle is a nice touch. Helmet is super comfy too!

The Serfas Metro helmet has been a great addition to my daily biking equipment. Although the helmet’s size is somewhat bulky, it fits very well around my head. The helmet’s massive ports allow for air to flow well and cool your head. Granted I’ve been using it daily in the Phoenix Metro-Area when the temperature isn’t too bad. Let’s see how it well it performs during the warmer summer period. Although easy to forget, I truly appreciate and like the integrated bug nets that are located in the front three ports. Another neat feature of the helmet is the integrated rear light. Adding to its safety feature, the light adds visibility for all of those behind you to see. Although not very bright, the rear light works great as an addition to complement any rear lights you already have on your bike. Personally, I would move the location of the light to a lower position on the helmet so that it’s easier to see by anyone behind you when riding. Lastly, the chin strap and retention system make sure that the helmet stays in place at all times. Since the helmet is slightly bulky, I believe it performs better as a commuting helmet, rather than a mountain-biking or performance helmet. However, this is a good helmet for the price, especially with the added benefit of the light. I would recommend this helmet to anyone who commutes or rides later in the day when lights go on. Safe Ride!
